What
is a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner (RNCP)?
Registered
Nutritional Consulting Practitioners are professionals trained in holistic nutrition and complementary therapies. RNCPs teach
the benefits of a sound nutritional program and healthy lifestyle to encourage your body to achieve optimum health and energy.
RNCPs assess individual nutritional imbalances and weaknesses and recommend specific
diets and nutritional support to enhance your immune system and help you build and maintain well-being.
RNCPs help you make the best possible food choices. It is important to eat a variety
of foods to ensure all essential nutrients are included in the diet. An RNCP will introduce new dietary habits, incorporating
the latest nutritional breakthroughs. However, it may be difficult to achieve optimal health through food alone. In such cases,
RNCPs are trained to design personalized dietary supplement programs.
RNCPs help you confidently navigate through the overwhelming maze of holistic nutrition-related information
in the public forum, designing an individualized program respecting your unique biochemistry and enhancing your well-being.
In the past, it was the custom to follow the Canada Food Guide in order to achieve dietary wellness. Now however, we
are aware that it does not meet the nutritional requirements for superior health.
RNCPs are certified by the International
Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC). As professional
members they have met its strict educational and ethical standards. Only those who qualify are granted the exclusive
use of the title, “Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner” (RNCP).
A visit to an RNCP will be an experience whereby you will learn to make healthier lifestyle
choices which will have a positive effect on the quality of your health the therefore have a long lasting effect on the
quality of your life.
Many extended health care plans are now covering
RNCP service fees for IONC members.
